Donner Lake, California // Clint Proposing to Veronica

I was so excited for this evening out overlooking the beautiful Donner Lake, a smaller, more peaceful lake near Lake Tahoe in California. I wasn't the one most excited about this evening, however. Clint had been planning for a while how he would pop the question to his girlfriend, Veronica. Yes, this evening out overlooking the lake near sunset was when he would be asking her to become his wife.

Clint had everything carefully planned and we even took a trip location scouting earlier in the week to make sure we found a place where the light would be perfect. For a while leading up to the day, Clint had the idea to slowly share photos of himself holding notecards that said, "I", "am", "going", "to", "ask", "you", "to", "marry", "me". (The last of which was taken in the location he would propose!) And after a beautiful dinner and a trip up to the overlook Clint gave Veronica the last notecard in person—it said "today." Getting down on his knee, they shared a moment that will change their lives, bringing them together in a new and wonderful way.

These photos share the story of this one evening, but more of their story is yet to come. Their lives together from this point on are chapters not yet written, but sure to be beautiful. Congratulations, Clint and Veronica! May these moments forever be wonderful memories for you two. But really, how could you doubt that? All you would have to do is look at the beaming smile on Veronica throughout this evening and know that these moments were perfect.
