Oregon Wine Country Wedding at Youngberg Hill // Oregon and Travel Wedding Photographer

You probably already know that Oregon is beautiful, but add a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, a vineyard, and a fun dance party and it’s brought to the next level. That was Sam and Logan’s wedding day. They were married at the beautiful Youngberg Hill Winery that lies up on a hill in the middle of the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The venue was placed perfectly because it overlooked the backdrop of the layers of hills going off into the distance. I know that I said the word “hill” a lot there, but they’re really pretty hills, haha.

It was a cloudy but beautiful day to celebrate such a sweet couple and the rest of their lives together. These high-school sweethearts are so kind and made me feel like I was capturing my best friends’ wedding day. A guest even asked me if we had been good friends for a long time. Nope, we met in person just once before at their engagement session. Yes, I make friends with basically everyone, but I think that has to be a testament to who Sam and Logan are. Really, their whole family were also so kind and welcoming.

Did I mention that the venue was beautiful?! I love the Pacific Northwest, and Oregon in particular. It was funny, when Sam, Logan, and I did our initial video inquiry chat they only knew that I was a Portland photographer after finding me on Instagram under that hashtag. They asked me if I knew of a little town south of there called McMinnville where they would be saying their vows. Well, I do indeed! It's where I lived for almost two years! :D I love that town and it was so perfect being able to photograph their wedding in such a special place.

I had the honor of not only photographing Sam and Logan’s wedding day in Oregon, but also their engagement session in Arizona. It was so perfect how both their wedding and engagement photos worked out! My husband and I were already wanting to be in the southwest during our full-time RV travels which led to the perfect time to take their engagement photos in the Phoenix area, where they currently live. Then my husband and I had already planned to be in the west again around the time of their wedding! Everything fell into place perfectly.

People came from all over, even Alaska, to join in the party. And what a party! On my questionnaire to gather details about the wedding day, the only photos they said they especially wanted were the dancing photos. I’m pretty sure at their engagement session, they even mentioned how excited they were for the dancing.

What a day and what a couple. I am honored to not only have had the pleasure of meeting you, Sam and Logan, but I’m also honored you welcomed me into the celebration of your lives together. I pray the rest of your lives are even more wonderful than this first day was. Congratulations!

A big thank you to everyone who made the day possible!
