Old Central Church & the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate Joliet, Illinois // Wayne & Leanne Married

I hope you'll allow me a few moments of complete sentimentality and emotion. At this moment I am overwhelmed by having been able to experience and capture Wayne and Leanne's wedding day. Leanne is a special person in my life, she has been there for almost as long as I can remember; she is my best friend's little sister. So, obviously I love her dearly. Being able to be a witness to this major step in her life was almost surreal and yet absolutely amazing! The rest of her life will be walking side-by-side with her amazing new husband, Wayne. I truly am incredibly happy and excited for them.

I'm also honored that I was picked to be her wedding photographer. I was chatting with her mom one day and she mentioned that she didn't even really look around for other photographers, because she wanted me. What an amazing honor to have her be one of the first to believe in me and hire me! All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!

All that sentimentality of my own really can't overwhelm how amazing their day was. Their ceremony was at Old Central Church in Joliet, Illinois which is on the amazing grounds of the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate. It was a stunning backdrop to the beginning of their marriage. I mean, just look at it!

The celebrations of the day weren't limited to Wayne and Leanne's wedding; Emma, their adorable flower girl and niece, celebrated her second birthday on the same day. Everyone sang to her and Emma's applause at the end was such a cute way for her to say thank you.

The emotions felt during this day were contagious. Even the bar tender teared up at Leanne and her dad's first dance. Just going back through the photos and seeing the two of them glance at each other as they were about to walk down the aisle made me tear up! Father-daughter relationships like theirs are so special.

Congratulations, Wayne and Leanne! I pray that God blesses you immensely in your many years together. :)

I really must give a huge shout-out to all the vendors who made this day possible:
