Adventuresome Forest and Creek Engagement Photos // Portland, Oregon Engagement Photographer

I love when I have the opportunity to photograph a couple who loves to adventure and hike; Alex and Courtney enjoy doing just that. During their engagement session, we ventured out into a small, cute park near Dayton, Ohio just before I moved to Portland, Oregon. We ventured through the woods, around the mud, an even got into the water. :D It made my heart so happy to capture their love and nature alongside each other like that. The water may have been slightly cold, but it was so worth it because it turned out amazingly. Even the sun was in favor of us getting in the creek because the light was coming through the trees so nicely behind them. :)

Alex and Courtney are a sweet couple who are kind and care about people. They both work in the medical field, which also happens to be where they met. They have such a cute story of how she caught his eye to eventually stopping by her house to ask her on a date. To ask her to marry him, he planned a weekend get away with hiking through the hills of, if I remember correctly, one of the Carolinas. There was a little hiccup with the weather, but a new, unexplored path for them led to an amazing view and the perfect place for him to pop the question. A friend was nearby that weekend and able to capture the special moment, and, let me tell you, that photo is amazing! It needs to be printed on a large canvas and put on a prominent wall in their house it was so stunning! Well done, Alex, on finding an amazing location! And an amazing woman. ;)

We had the perfect day to go adventuring, and I'm so glad I could do so with Alex and Courtney for their engagement photos. They were so kind and I am so excited that I have the opportunity to capture the beginning of their marriage later this year.

Alex and Courtney, you two are a wonderful couple, so sweet, kind, and adventurous. That and more makes me so excited for all that is ahead for you two. Congratulations!
