Countryside Wedding at Clary Gardens // McMinnville, Oregon Photographer
Luke and Allison had such a lovely day for their October wedding. It was held in the small town of Coshocton, Ohio at a cute, all-inclusive venue, Clary Gardens. This location has everything from a path through the woods, an amphitheater in a bit of a valley for the ceremony, and some historic 19th century homes where they got ready for their big day.
This sweet couple, who are actually college friends of mine and my husband's, was so relaxed the entire day, and of course they should be because everything was planned by the bride, a theater stage manager, and executed so smoothly. Allison's planning gave us plenty of time to capture everything. They opted to do everything from their first look to the family formals prior to the ceremony so they could immediately join their guests at their reception up the hill. It was perfect.
Another thing that was absolutely perfect was Allison's dress. I know, I know, I always swoon over dresses, but the lace and the long, flowing train were so much fun to play with for photos. :) She had some other special details, too. She wore her grandmother's ring as her something old and borrowed on the opposite hand as her own stunning ring, and also had a flower in her bouquet that was given to her by Luke while they were dating.
The ceremony and reception had several hand-picked special details, as well. The first of these details was live music. During the ceremony one of the groomsmen, Tim Becze, played the piano, and, as the guests arrived and during the reception, Elaina and Matthew Gillin serenaded everyone with the violin and guitar. Each of these amazing individuals is extremely talented! Some other fun details during the reception were an espresso bar (with tea for non-coffee fans like me, haha), mugs as favors as well as for the drink you would have during the reception (such a fun idea!), and lots and lots of pie. Pie is actually a bit of a tradition since it was what Luke's grandparents had at their wedding. I asked Allison and Luke what they especially wanted photographed during the ceremony, and they, of course, said they wanted memories of all the people who made it to celebrate their special day. Right along side that in importance to Allison was photos of the pies. A girl after my own heart. And the pie was delicious!
The celebration ended with a sparkler send off. But that is only the beginning of their new adventure together as husband and wife.
Congratulations, you two! I am so excited for you guys and for the amazing things you will do! Have an amazing time in Europe on your honeymoon!!!
A round of applause for everyone who helped make this day possible!
