Wind-Blown Adventurous Portraits in the Columbia River Gorge // Portland, Oregon Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

Goodness gracious, this lovely lady is inspiring, beautiful, and so kind. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to photograph her. And so glad that we were able to do so in the Columbia River Gorge!

If you don't know it, the Columbia River Gorge is a canyon on the divide between Washington and Oregon in the Pacific Northwest. In it, you'll find amazing waterfalls, unbelievably beautiful hikes, and views that this Midwest transplant could sit and enjoy for hours. I'm sure I'll be sharing more about this beautiful area later. For now, I'll just share in images this little peninsula that Brooke and I explored on a fairly warm and windy February day.

I'm always a sucker for images with wind-blown hair; the movement creates so much life in a photo. And we had such beautiful wind carrying Brooke's beautiful red hair. (Can I talk about how much I love red hair now? Insert all the heart-eyed emojis here! haha) With the wind and Brooke's willing, adventurous spirit, we we able to capture the stunning views of the river and the hills, amazing backdrops of moss-covered boulders, and the strength of this beautiful woman. And guess what! She's a new momma at almost 5 months pregnant! I can't wait to see that little one and how amazing of a mother that Brooke will be to him or her throughout the years to come.
